‘Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation’ Fill-A-Truck Food Drive

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB)–When school is out, families are busy with summer vacations, and normal routines are not in place the need to donate to local food pantries is not on the minds of many.

During these summer months is when the shelves go empty and that is the case for the Community Survival Center in Springfield.

But thanks to friends, supporters, and concerned citizens of the CSC they conducted a food drive today to Fill-A-Truck!

The communities of Ludlow and Springfield came together to take food donations to fill three 10 ft. U-haul trucks in the parking lots of Stop & Shop on Boston Rd. and Cooley St. in Springfield and Randall’s Farm and Greenhouse in Ludlow.

If you would like to donate or for more information on the Community Survival Center you can call 413-543-3930 or email thecsc@aol.com.
