Phase One of Greenfield High Project Nearing Completion

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — When Greenfield High School students go back to school in two weeks, they will see a new high school.

Final preparations continue on phase one of the new high school project.

Some 500 students will be heading back to class on September 2.

The state-of-the-art school has the community excited.

“This is a beautiful facility as you can see. It’s state-of-the-art, absolutely fantastic. Phase one is substantially complete. It is on track. It will be ready for the start of school,” explains Supt. Jordana Harper.

Meanwhile, demolition continues on phase two of the project, which involves complete renovation of the old high school auditorium.

That work will continue through next year.
