Girl Riding Bike Hit by Car in Springfield


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A girl was injured Wednesday after she was struck by a car in Springfield.

Springfield Police say that around noon Wednesday, a 10-year-old girl was riding a bike along Northampton Avenue when she was hit by a car.

The girl was taken to an area hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators note that speed may have been a factor in the incident, but the collision remains under investigation.
