BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WGGB) -- Police announced Tuesday they have arrested two people in connection with the knifepoint masked robbery of Ye Olde Grog Shoppe in September, while the two are being eyed for other crimes in area communities.
According to a release from Belchertown Chief of Police Fran Fox's office, Ashlee Walker,23, and John Paul Hurley, 25, both of 3088 Pine St., Bondsville, have been arrested for receiving stolen property Friday in connection with the Sept. 12 robbery, where a knife was put to a customer while the masked robber demanded money.
According to Belchertown police, Hurley will also face charges for armed robbery after Ludlow police obtained and executed a search warrant at 2094 Caulkins Road in Palmer Monday, where more evidence was allegedly obtained.
Additional charges of breaking and entering and larceny of property valued over $250 are pending in Ludlow for the two, as well as charges related to a series of break-ins in the south Belchertown and Palmer area, according to police.
