UMass police investigating sex assault in campus library

AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) -- The University of Massachusetts Police Department is investigating a report of a sexual assault that allegedly took place in the W.E.B. Dubois Library Tuesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred in the women's bathroom on the 19th floor of the building at some point between 10 and 11 p.m.

Police have described the suspect as a 5-foot-6-inch-tall white man in his 20s or early 30s with brownish hair who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans.
