MASHPEE, Mass. (AP) - A Marine whose parents live on Cape Cod is being laid to rest.

A funeral Mass for Capt. Eric Jones was scheduled for Saturday morning at the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will follow.

The 29-year-old Jones grew up in Pound Ridge, N.Y., but spent his summers on the Cape.

His parents, Kenneth and Cynthia, moved to Mashpee year-round in 2005.

Jones died in an Oct. 26 helicopter crash in Afghanistan. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he was part of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169.
