From the Bay Area to the Bay State.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sabrina Rodriguez came to Western Massachusetts in February 2007.
News is a passion of Sabrina's and is something she has dreamed of doing for years. In fact, Connie Chung was her childhood hero. Since joining WGGB, Sabrina has gotten a chance to cover all sorts of stories, including an investigative piece into the Springfield school security systems, where she went undercover as a high school student. Not only did that story motivate the schools to step up security, but it also earned her an award from the Associated Press.
Sabrina is also the station's Health Reporter, and is dedicated to informing the residents of Western Mass about all the medical breakthroughs, treatments, and programs that exist in the area.
Before coming to WGGB, Sabrina honed her journalism skills as an anchor and reporter for the CBS affiliate, KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Oregon.
When she's not doing the news, Sabrina can be found playing guitar or volleyball, running, hiking, enjoying a good book or hanging around with her black cat "Salem."
You can catch Sabrina anchoring the weekend news at 6 and 11 p.m., and reporting throughout the week.
