Ed Carroll is chief meteorologist for ABC40, and is a native New Englander.

After graduating from Plymouth State University in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology, he spent two years in New York working for a private weather service.

Ed’s television career started at abc40 in 1989, where he remained until 1993, which was the year he recieved the New England Emmy Award for Best Broadcast Meteorologist.

Ed joined WBZ TV in Boston in 1993 and spent over 10 years with the station before returning to abc40 and Western Massachusetts in 2006.

Ed enjoys golf, running, history, aviation and spending time with his wife Amy and their three children.
