Greg Pollak is the newest member of the ABC40 First Warning Weather team, where he anchors weekend evenings.
Greg was born and raised in Central New Jersey where he endured almost every kind of weather phenomenon including the paralyzing and crippling blizzard of 1996. This anomaly of nature piqued Greg’s curiosity to discover the science behind these conditions, and sparked his passion for weather.
Greg took this passion and turned it into his career. He attended the University at Albany in Albany, N.Y. where he earned a degree in Broadcast Meteorology. Greg interned at WMGM-TV in Atlantic City, N.J. and WNYT in Albany.
After graduating, Greg took a job at KVRR, the FOX station affiliate in Fargo, N.D. as their Weekend Meteorologist. While in Fargo, he experienced two true blizzards and wind chills as low as -50°.
Most recently, Greg was the morning Meteorologist at WBNG in Binghamton, N.Y.
