SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass (abc40)-- Gabe Josephs runs a heating and cooling company in South Deerfield.  He has 3 employees in addition to himself and he says he hasn't had to let anyone go, despite the economy.  His business is doing well because he has customers quite interested in his product.  He sells a system that's saving people money. 

Josephs Heating and Cooling installs the Acadia System made by Hallowell International out of Bangor, Maine.  Yes, it's made right here in the US of A. And it's a northern company, probably because this system works in the northern climes.  The systems heats and cools homes more efficiently.  It does not depend on fossil fuels and it doesn't use that much electricity.  Jo-Ann Konieczny had it installed on her new home that went up last November.  She will have solar energy and will use that to power the unit. And she says it's been saving her a great deal of money already. "I have one in my own house," Josephs says, "and I save 50 per cent of my annual heating and cooling costs.
