Demerski says, "It has some really wonderful features in terms of geothermal heating, cooling and hot water, which allows this 3500 ft2 home to be heated and cooled for less than $3 a day."
The asking price for the home is $749,000. No matter your budget, the concept just makes sense. Demerski says, "You can live in a very spacious, healthy home and not have to spend a lot of money in terms of your utility bills."
Sam Johnston of Environmental Compliance Services is an expert in geothermal heating and cooling systems. He says, "As the world moves forward and we strive for less reliance on fossil fuels, this makes a lot of sense."
As if the Leverett home was not green enough, Vintage Green Homes has teamed up with Fathers and Sons and whoever buys the prime piece of property will also get a 2009 Jetta TDI Clean Diesel.
