How to Report a Storm Closing
HOW TO SIGN-UP YOUR ORGANIZATION TO USE OUR CLOSING SYSTEM
To become part of our storm closings, your group (school, company, church, etc) must send ABC40 a letter, on letterhead, with all of your contact information for verification.
Please include your name, address, contact name, phone numbers, email address, and signature of person requesting the cancellation, then either FAX or mail that letter to us. (please note that this information is maintained for internal purposes and will be not be made public)
You can FAX it to (413) 788-7640, ATTN: Storm Closings
You can mail it to: Storm Closings, WGGB-TV, 1300 Liberty Street, Springfield, MA 01104
Once we receive your information, it will be entered into our database and we will mail out a code for you to use during the year.
If there is a need for a closing before an organization has received your code, you MUST FAX a request detailing today’s cancellation on letterhead to (413) 788-7640. It can be manually added for the day and will be a one-time closing.
You still need to follow the procedure of mailing a letter on letterhead to get a formal closing code.
We handle it this way for security purposes.
